Norman D. Keith

	Norman D. Keith, age 76, of rural DuQuoin, IL, died Friday, June 25, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL.
	He was born on June 7, 1928, in Perry County, IL, the son of Emery M. and Blanche E. (Uhles) Keith.  He was united in marriage to Georgia L. Golliher on June 30, 1951 in the Beaucoup Baptist Church in Pinckneyville, and she survives.  Norman served in the United States Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean Conflict, and worked as a coal miner for the Consolidation Coal Company at the Burning Star #2 Mine.  He was a member of the U.M.W.A. and was active in the Nine Mile Baptist Church where he served as Boys Softball Coach, Sunday School Teacher, Church Training Director and Deacon.
	Survivors include his wife Georgia of DuQuoin, three sons:  Bob and wife Gayle of Pinckneyville, George and wife Nancy of Tamaroa, IL, and Tom and wife Cheryl of DuQuoin, one brother:  Marvin Keith of Tamaroa, eight grandchildren:  Ryan and wife Jennifer, Jeremy and fiance' Alison Thompson, Alexis, Colin, Emily, Madelyn, Sophia, and Phoebe, one sister-in-law:  Harriett Giacomo and husband Nelson of Pinckneyville, and one brother-in-law:  John Golliher and wife Karen of Benton, IL.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister and brother-in-law:  Pauline and Joe House
	Funeral Services were held in the Nine Mile Baptist Church on Monday, June 28, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Kevin Carrothers officiating.  Interment was in the Mueller Hill Cemetery.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville on Sunday evening, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and then at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until services.
	Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville was in charge of arrangements.
